Brandon
along his younger brother Douglas Meek, makes up the other half of the super charged " Power House " that makes up the core of Cashers Flat. Brandon's intense Earl Scruggs style of banjo playing sets the entire backdrop for Cashers Flat. Over the past 6 years Brandon has climbed to great heights with his talent on banjo, and is considered the next "Earl Scruggs". Brandon has become one of the most phenominal banjo players the East Coast has ever seen. He also plays the fiddle with the same hard driving intensity as he does on banjo. Since deciding on banjo as a career, he has now become one of the hottest banjo players the East Coast has to offer, and he has no intentions of stopping there. Brandon's unmatched talent on banjo has put him in a league all his own, and has made him one of the most sought after banjo players in bluegrass music.
Brandon plays banjo in the traditional style with just a small touch of contemporary to it, and when combined with his younger brothers semi - progressive style of fiddle playing, Bluegrass Magic is created! His main influences are Earl Scruggs, Tommy Adams, Ralph Stanley, Tony Triska, and Bela Fleck. He is Mid - Atlantic Grand Banjo Champion for 2003 and is also a Mid - Atlantic Grand Fiddle champion as well. Although Brandon is the main banjo player for Cashers Flat, he can hold his own when he plays that fiddle. Brandon is very fine tuned and musically polished, and is well on his way to becoming one of bluegrass music's top banjo players. He's already a bluegrass music household name in the East. Brandon has earned hundreds of awards on banjo and fiddle and has his mind set on being " The Worlds Best ".
